Britten Norman BN-2 Islander/Trislander
New: Trislander, Fans Islander, Turbine Islander and magnetophone version available!
Actual version: 3.2 (06/21/2004)
Beschreibung:
Description:
The Britten Norman company produces very interesting twin engine aircrafts for island hopping services: the BN-2 Islander. The FS2004 model features reflection maps, a very detailed virtual cockpit, many animations, like propellers, rudder, ailerons, elevators, flaps, wheels, gear strutes, doors, and is fully lighted. Additionally, you can switch on the cabin lights, passenger notices and in the BN-2A model the ice instruction lamp.
I included also a maintenance mode (you can activate it via the folding wings function): then, the engine cowlings, the avionic compartement and the nose will detached and a mechanic will repair the left engine. Also you can put stairs to the door and you can push the aircraft back with a pushback "truck". If you want to park your aircraft for a longer time, you now can secure ailerons and the pitot head.
You'll get a full functional panel for BN-2A, BN-2B, BN-2A Mk.3 and BN-2T, special gauges and three sound sets for each 2, 3 and 4 bladed aircrafts.
New Features In Version 3.2:
The following types for v3.2 are in developement or are available for download:

Which set has to be installed, you will find at every description of a paint scheme. For further information see readme.txt, which ist included in every archive.
You will find further repaints also on known FS2004 download sites like www.flightsim.com etc.
Here you will find a repaint kit to make repaints more easily. Please
mind, that you have to ask me for a permission to upload your repaints!
The D-IBNA was one of the first aircrafts of the LFH (Luftverkehr Friesland
Harle), which is flying mainly from Harle to the island Wangerooge; it flew in
this color scheme for LW (Luftverkehr Wilhelmshaven-Friesland) until 1982, 1983
the LFH was founded and used the D-IBNA for its purposes. Later, it was painted
in the color scheme as D-ILFB and flew until 1990 in the company.
This aircraft was fitted with 3 blade props and flies in the LFH (Luftverkehr
Friesland Harle) in the old color scheme yet.
The D-ILFH and the D-ILFA of the LFH (Luftverkehr Friesland Harle) have this
paint scheme and the 4 bladed props developed by the LFH.
D-IORF flew until 2002 for Helgoland Airlines and had at last an other, nearly all-white color scheme and you can find it intermediatly for sale in ebay.
Until it crashs in december 2001 this aircraft flew for Bremerhaven Airline. It
has a sharp nose and big exhausts.
The D-IFLN is the flagship of the FLN (Frisia Luftverkehr Norden), which flies
from Norden-Norddeich to the islands Norderney and Juist.
This aircraft flies in the OLT (Ostfrisische Lufttransport), which is flying
from Emden to Borkum.
This is my first real BN-2T paint scheme from the Dutch police, the textures are
made by Marcel Ritzema.

This is my first real BN-2 Mk.III-2 Trislander color scheme from the well-known
airline Aurigny Air Service. The panel, the model and the flight properties are
made by me (Marcel Kuhnt), the repaint is made by Nico Hoffmann. ATTENTION! If you have downloaded GXTOR32G.zip yet, please download it again, it's a newer version (status: 23.08.2004)!
This is the flightsimulator model of the only BN-2 FANS prototype which is a
with DOWTY fan engines fitted BN-2A.
This version of the BN-2B has a magnetophone to play CD's in the primary drive;
also you can switch on a fan which is fitted on the panel like in the Il-18.
I want to demonstrate it with this paint scheme to virtual airlines which can repaint it; so they will get more comfort for there passengers (and pilots) ;-)
It seems that the BN-2B on my photo had the delivery paint scheme with the
english delivery registration. You'll find an original photo on
www.airliners.net.
